Cheap and Extended Stay Hotels Denver

Although Denver has numerous upscale hotels, even the budget conscious traveler to the city can find standard clean comfortable cheap hotels in Denver. For the published rate of less than $150 per night, you can obtain lodging for that has many of the same amenities as the fancier hotels. The Downtown Comfort Inn is across the street from Denver’s grand dame of hotels, the Brown Palace.

It is near the 16th St. Mall and rooms include Internet, cable and pay per view movies. Most hotels seem to recognize that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and offer continental or buffet breakfasts to their guests. The Comfort Inn offers continental breakfast, but no onsite dining room, but you can dine at any number of restaurants along the mall or a special evening walk across the street to the Brown Palace’s dining rooms. The Comfort Inn is pet-friendly and has a business center and has rooms to accommodate the needs of the physically challenged.

If you want your dining and entertainment onsite, check into the Burnsley All Suite Hotel, which includes a restaurant and jazz club. The Burnsley is a European style budget hotel and all suites include a kitchen as well as cable, data ports, voicemail and private balconies. The Burnsley is a great place to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks from a distance. Recreational amenities include passes to a nearby health club and a pool. More travelers want the comforts of a home environment during their stay. The business or leisure day can be hectic enough, and the Burnsley offers a location where you can relax and bring your pet along if you wish.

If you are staying in the city for more than a few days, it’s nice to be able to come to a home away from home after a busy day of deal making. Extended stay hotels like the Town Place Suites just south of the state capitol offer this possibility. This budget hotel is built around the façade of a Denver landmark, the Hirschfield Press building. The suites include full kitchens and the hotel is pet-friendly. All the room amenities you need are available-data ports, voicemail, and cable and in-room movies. Breakfast is included as part of your stay, and if you really don’t want to cook, because that would be too much like home, dinner delivery is available from a variety of local restaurants.

If you want to be totally pampered during your stay in the city, you can even get into a bed and breakfast at this rate. The Queen Anne Bed And Breakfast just north and east of the core downtown business district is Denver’s first urban budget bed and breakfast. Flanked by two historic Victorian homes in the Historic Clement Park District, this B&B is within walking distance of downtown attractions and amenities and a few blocks from the light rail. A buffet breakfast is available for both early and late risers and is served from 7:15-9:15 a.m. Colorado wine is served in the dining room from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and you can dine in the garden if you wish.

Although B&B’s are somewhat of a throwback, there are no old amenities here. The 14 guestrooms include air conditioning, Internet access, and concierge service, and some rooms have hot tubs. A fitness facility and business center is also available. The Queen Anne is a special place featuring 4 gallery suites displaying works of renowned artists like Remington and Rockwell a fireplace suite and piped in chamber music.
